On December 4, 2021, the team competition of the 9th "Transport Cup” Beijing Jiaotong University Faculty Badminton Competition was held in the gymnasium of the main campus, and on December 11, five individual competitions were held in the same venue. Nearly 200 faculty members from 16 subunits, including the School of Electrical Engineering, School of Electronic and Information Engineering, Logistics Group, School of Economics and Management, School of Architecture and Design, School of Mechanical and Electronic and Control Engineering, School of Computer and Information Technology, School of Science, School of Marxism, School of Software Engineering, School of Civil Engineering, Administrative Office, School Hospital, School of Foreign languages and Mass Communication, School of Distance Learning and Continuing Education and School of Traffic and Transportation, participated in the competition. There were two team competitions, men's team and women's team, as well as five individual competitions, men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles. The competition was intense, splendid and full of warm atmosphere, and the athletes actively and courageously competed. They were opponents on the field and friends off the field, and the competition achieved a complete success.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Li Tao, Deputy Secretary of the School of Traffic and Transportation. The guests present were: Guan Zhongliang, Vice President, Zhao Peng, Vice President, Yan Wuer, former Deputy Secretary of CPC, Cui Yingchun, Director of the Sports Department, Zhou Yubo, Vice Chairman of the Labor Union, Yao Enjian, Secretary of the School of Traffic and Transportation, Yu Yongguang, Ma Qiang, Ye Long, Wang Lide and Wang Haoye, Vice Chairmen of the Badminton Association. Yao Enjian, Secretary of the School of Traffic and Transportation, made a brief speech at the opening ceremony, expressing the honor and full support of the School of Traffic and Transportation for co-organizing the badminton competition for all faulty members and wishing the competition a complete success. Vice President Guan Zhongliang in his speech highly affirmed the significance of mass sports and expressed that the school attached great importance to and took a positive attitude towards vigorously developing the sports of faculty. Vice president Zhao Peng announced the start of the competition.
After a day of fierce competition, the team competitions ended at 4:20 p.m. The fourth place, third place, runner-up and champion of the women's team respectively were School of Civil Engineering, School of Distance Learning and Continuing Eduction, School of Computer and Information Technology and Administrative Office. The fourth place, third place, runner-up and champion of the men's team respectively were School of Science, School of Electronic and Information Engineering, School of Traffic and Transportation and Logistics Group.
The individual competitions, men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles were held on December 11. The competition started from 8:30 a.m. and ended at 5:15 p.m. with a short rest at noon. The competition was exciting and intense, and the gymnasium was surrounded by enthusiastic cheering voice of the audience. The players fought for every point on the field and were friendly to each other off the field. The closing ceremony and awarding ceremony began at 5:20 p.m. The champion of women's doubles were Wang Meidi and Zheng Liqiao (School of Distance Learning and Continuing Education); the winners of mixed doubles were Yan Wushan and Wang Ningxi (School of Marxism); the champion of men's doubles were Wang Chao and Lu Chao (School of Economics and Management); the winner of women's singles was Peng Wenjuan (School of Computer and Information Technology); the winner of men's singles was Yan Wuer (Administrative Office).
In the end, Yan Wuer, former Deputy Secretary of CPC, made a concluding speech. He retrospected the competition and highly praised everyone's tenacious fighting spirit on the field. He hoped that everyone would bring the enterprising spirit to the daily work and research to give full play to the potential, win glory for the university and make contributions to the prosperity of the country.
