During December 3rd -4th, 2022, the 8th International Symposium on Railway Operations Research (ISROR), organized by the School of Traffic and Transportation, the State Key Laboratory of Rail Traffic Control and Safety, the School of Civil Engineering, and the Railway Transportation Committee of the China Railway Society, was successfully held online. Professor Xuedong Yan, Vice President of Beijing Jiaotong University, Professor Lei Nie, Dean of the School of Transportation, Professor Ingo Arne Hansen, Founding Chairman of the International Association of Railway Operations Research, and Professor Rob Goverde, the Chairman of IAROR, attended opening ceremony. The symposium was hosted by Professor Yun Bai, Vice dean of the School of Traffic and Transportation.
On the morning of March 10, the School of Traffic and Transportation of Beijing Jiaotong University held the opening ceremony of the Online Seminar on Metro Management and Service for Bangladesh electronically. Guan Zhongliang, vice president of Beijing Jiaotong University, Nie Lei, dean of the School of Traffic and Transportation, Bi Fei, deputy director of the Office of International Affairs, Liu Xiaofang, vice dean of the College of International Education and other guests showed up at the opening ceremony. On the afternoon of December 21, 2021, President Wang Jiaqiong went to the School of Traffic and Transportation to attend the School enlarged meeting of the theoretical learning center group of the Party committee, preach the spirit of the sixth plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, and to participate in the Symposium on "devoting to making China strong with a powerful transportation system, and looking forward to the future with the unity of knowing and doing", he also conducted an in-depth communication with undergraduates of the School.
On December 19, 2021, the Eleventh Beijing Competition of Transport Science and Technology of Students sponsored by Beijing Municipal Education Commission and undertaken by Beijing Jiaotong University was successfully held. The School of Traffic and Transportation is responsible for organization of the competition.
On the afternoon of December 14, the online closing ceremony of Bangladesh Road Transportation Safety and Traffic Management Seminar, 2021 foreign aid training program of the Ministry of Commerce organized by our university was held in conference room 8617 of the School of Traffic and Transportation. Nie Lei, President of School of Traffic and Transportation, and Yue Rui, Teacher of School of Traffic and Transportation attended the closing ceremony. Liu Xiaofang, Vice President of the College of International Education, presided over the closing ceremony.
On December 4, 2021, the team competition of the 9th "Transport Cup” Beijing Jiaotong University Faculty Badminton Competition was held in the gymnasium of the main campus, and on December 11, five individual competitions were held in the same venue. Nearly 200 faculty members from 16 subunits, including the School of Electrical Engineering, School of Electronic and Information Engineering, Logistics Group, School of Economics and Management, School of Architecture and Design, School of Mechanical and Electronic and Control Engineering, School of Computer and Information Technology, School of Science, School of Marxism, School of Software Engineering, School of Civil Engineering, Administrative Office, School Hospital, School of Foreign languages and Mass Communication, School of Distance Learning and Continuing Education and School of Traffic and Transportation, participated in the competition.
The closing ceremony of the 9th International Conference on Railway Operations Modelling and Analysis, RailBeijing 2021 was successfully held on November 6, 2021. Norio Tomii, Chairman of the International Association of Railway Operations Research (IAROR), Ingo A. Hansen, former Chairman, and Nie Lei, President of School of Traffic and Transportation, Beijing Jiaotong University attended and delivered speeches.
