BJTU School of Traffic and Transportation Successfully Holds Research Collaboration Meeting with Wildau University of Applied Sciences

On November 13, 2024, BJTU School of Traffic and Transportation successfully held an online research collaboration meeting with the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences of Wildau University of Applied Sciences in Germany. The meeting aimed to expand joint research areas, deepen the integration of scientific research and education, and promote the feedback of research into teaching, thereby further enhancing the internationalization level of education and the quality of talent cultivation at BJTU School of Traffic and Transportation. The meeting was hosted by Professor Christian Liebchen from Wildau University of Applied Sciences and Professor Tang Yuanjie, Vice Dean of BJTU School of Traffic and Transportation, with multiple professors from both institutions in attendance.

The two hosts extended a warm welcome to all participants. Professor Christian Liebchen briefly introduced the background of the meeting and the content of the Memorandum of Understanding signed by both parties in August this year, expressing his hope that this meeting would serve as an opportunity to promote further cooperation between the two universities.

 

Vice Dean Tang Yuanjie stated that he hopes the in-depth exchanges will lay a solid foundation for future research collaboration, enabling more substantive cooperative projects in the field of transportation and jointly advancing academic research and technological innovation.

Professors from the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences of Wildau University of Applied Sciences – Ralf Kohlen, Martin Lehnert, Christian Liebchen, Jens Wollenweber, Cristian Rudolph, and Erdmann Ralf – and Professors Yue Yixiang, Zhang Qi, Xu Xinyue, and Luan Xiaojie from the School of Traffic and Transportation at Beijing Jiaotong University, presented their respective research directions and achievements. The research areas covered railway transportation, traffic engineering, logistics engineering, and more, demonstrating significant potential for collaboration in integrating scientific research with education.

 

During the discussion session, participants engaged in lively and in-depth discussions on potential collaboration points and reached a consensus on follow-up exchange activities and promoting teaching and research cooperation.

 

Through this event, participants had the opportunity to share their experiences and resources, explore possible future collaboration directions, and lay the groundwork for broader and deeper cooperation between the two sides in scientific research and talent cultivation. BJTU School of Traffic and Transportation will continue to focus on international exchanges and cooperation, to enhance education and research work, providing a platform for its faculty and students to seek potential collaborative needs, and offering strong support for related endeavors.
