(3) Program Highlights Urban Rail Transit represents the future direction of transportation in modern metropolises. To meet the needs of sustainable development in this field, our university has established this specialized direction by leveraging the profound heritage of our traditional railway transportation program and strengthening specific theoretical and practical teaching.
Adhering to a talent positioning of "world-class and domestically leading," we implement a curriculum that ensures a broad scope of knowledge and a solid professional foundation. Through a training system integrating "Planning & Design – Operations Organization – Business Management," we highlight the interdisciplinary features and innovative characteristics of "Urban Traffic + Rail Traffic." The program boasts multiple National-Level Excellent Courses and focuses on enhancing engineering practice capabilities, professional qualities, and innovation awareness. It aims to cultivate innovative talents with composite technical and management skills for transportation departments at various levels, research institutes, universities, consulting agencies, and urban rail transit planning, design, and operation units.
(4) Educational Objectives Focusing on the future talent demands of urban rail transit systems, this program cultivates senior management and engineering technical talents required for the planning, design, construction, operation, and management of urban rail transit. In 2010, this program was selected for the Ministry of Education's "Plan for Educating and Training Outstanding Engineers."
