BJTU & TU Delft Joint Program in Traffic and Transportation is a four-year, full-time undergraduate degree delivered at BJTU. In the fourth year, students undertake a two-week academic visit to TU Delft in the Netherlands. This includes field studies of advanced transportation facilities and completion of a graduation design project jointly supervised by faculty from both institutions. Subject to academic performance and individual plans, students may apply for an additional three-month research internship/study visit at TU Delft.

This programme is jointly taught by BJTU and TU Delft. Core courses are co-taught by experienced faculty from both universities. TU Delft academics visit BJTU on a regular basis, enabling students to access high-quality international teaching without leaving China.

After completing all course requirements and successfully passing the joint review of the graduation project defense, students will receive the Bachelor of Engineering degree and graduation certificate from BJTU, together with a certificate of study experience issued by TU Delft.

TU Delft offers further study opportunities for high-achieving students in this cohort. Up to 60% of students each year may be admitted to TU Delft’s master’s programmes, subject to meeting TU Delft’s postgraduate admission requirements.
